I guess it kinda makes sense to put some kind of introduction to your blog - otherwise what's the point? Reading the random brain dumps of a stranger make no sense without any context, but at the same time I wouldn't want to give too much away as to remove my wish to remain annonamous.
So, a little about me:
Im a guy, I'm 30 years old now and I live and work in London in the IT Sector. I consider myself to be "a geek with a personality" - which is not as rare a thing as most people would realise. IT professionals are far from pimply nerds with glasses and jumpers knitted by their grannies - in fact, aside from investment bankers, we're usually the top earners in the city and like to enjoy life and the privaledges that go with a decent pay packet.
I've been in IT pretty much all of my working life, bar for a few exceptions (inbetween jobs etc) where I've had the joys of experiencing life as an "unskilled manual worker". I've worked on bars in pubs and nightclubs (the ultimate job for meeting women!), done a bit of telesales, some telemarketing and even did a few weeks as a secretary come PA at a management consultancy firm.
This broad exposure to life the simpler life taught me a few things.
1. I dont want an unskilled life. It pays terrible and it's unfulfilling
2. I've seen the best and worst bullshitters in existance, and learnt from them all accordingly.
3. The higher up the ladder you climb, the less you have to do to justify your existance
4. No matter how good you think you are, or how irreplacable to a companies existance, at the end of the day you're just a body performing a function and the company will drop you at no notice if it is to their benefit.
5. Your career and your income doesn't mean jack shit when you've got a woman ripping out your heart for her own satisfaction and pleasure.
I come from a big family and I was born on the breadline with parents on the social and my peers enjoying life as joyriders and petty theives. That's not a line looking for sympathy, it's simply an explanation for the fact Im common as muck, and this blog is likely to be scattered with words and phrases that would never make a guide to "The Queens English".
I love children, and I'm currently halfway through my ambition to collect at least 4. Two down, two to go. I might mention them in my blog but obviously names will be left out.
I'm currently married to the mother of one of my children, and I guess in many ways this blog could be the secret confession to all the things I have never been able to say to her face.
If I think of anything else to drop in here, then I will at a later date.
